Sweatshops

No Sweatshops now in England,
We've long passed that stage.
We've got  Zero Hours Contracts
And a barely liveable living wage.
Crumbling schools for our children
Huge queues for medical care
Food banks for subsistence rations
If  there's any food left to share.
It's a struggle for survival for
That undeserving underclass
Learning to be strong in the
Belief in time all things pass.
Should they survive to reach
The State Retirement stage
Most will have earned the right
To a  near penurious old age.
No Sweatshops now in England
We're  a civilised modern nation,
After all so few these days do
Die from poverty and starvation.
That's progress for you
In our modern, caring state
As we continue to in the mode
That made Great Britain great
